The “good examples” in the exhibition is the mouthpiece for positive behaviour ranging from the redevelopment of industrial waste to the study of production technologies with low environmental impact, from creative reuse of discarded objects to the exploitation of recycled or recyclable materials. But the offer of Cascina Cuccagna does not end here. Until May 3, all are invited to take a coffee break at Fika Festival. Designed by Studio Electric, the Fika event is named after the Swedish word that means to meet friends and chat whilst snacking. In a space that is inspired by Morandi still life paintings, on a long table decorated with floral decorations and bottles one can have a break and take a breather from the frantic pace that the Settimana del Mobile imposes.
Built in 1695, the farm house Cascina Cuccagna was part of the immense agricultural area that stretched for miles just outside Milan. Today the building, completely restored from a conservative approach, is immersed in the dense urban area of Corso Porta Romana and Corso Lodi. It is a space open to the public all year round, with courtyards, gardens, a bar, a hostel and a bicycle repairer. During Fuorisalone the halls of Cascina Cuccagna will host the event Goodesign – The natural circle, a group exhibition that involves companies, independent designers and artists who share a particular attention to the issues of sustainable living and ecodesign.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
