Signed An Italian Theory + Azzurra Gronchi the new collection of bags and clutches for 2015 Spring/Summer makes your mouth water. Realized in saffiano leather with bright colours, they are dressed of Italian pasta, fusilli and maccheroni…..these had already embellished dresses and T-shirts for children. The gourmet digression of Alexander Enriquez continues, he the young journalist from Palermo who designed a series of comfortable armchairs shaped in the form of maccheroni.
Prolific and ironic, he made creations using the idea of pasta as his hallmark, these ranging from clothing collections for children characterized with patterns inspired by butterfly shaped pasta for broth, to accessories, and even up to plush chairs in the shape of mezze maniche pasta which have conquered Biffi’s shop windows in Milan, the worshipped fashion boutique.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
