The resurrection of Richard Ginori

Bienvenue 21 is an eclectic decor brand, transforming inspiration stolen from classical style into hybrid, contemporary objects. Their latest collection, presented at the Maison&Objet fair in Paris, exhibits their ironic talent through a series of overlapping, hybrid or transformed décor accessories. The coat hangers are made of elegant walking canes, while vases with vaguely Chinese silhouettes are half- ceramic and half opal-finished glass. The rugs have patterns that resemble the tiles found in kitchens from years past. Side tables made from smooth ceramic are two vases joined at the base, and the large, cylindrical, sand-coloured vase contains a smaller glass vase inside of it, encircled by iridescent butterflies. In the end, their decorative cornerstones are stacked vases, decorated ceramics, and decorative blown glass.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
