Pino Deodato began his journey in high school in Nao di Jonadi (Vibo Valentia), the town where he was born. He was named one of the most promising students after one year of study at Milan’s All’Accademia di Brera. He began his carrier in Milan as a painter, where he came into contact with the best of Milan’s art scene. His works have been exhibited in Italy and around the world. His portfolio includes a series of social murals created in the 70’s with other artists.
For the last 15 years, he has paired his painting ability with sculpture, driven by the desire to make his visions in a brief amount of time. Part of his activities as a sculptor has been a series of little, brooding men, made of painted terracotta, that are slight metaphors for different moods. His unique figuratism makes the little men unpredictable and distracted, giving his artistic message a poetic tone.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
