Catering, high perfumery, florist, and small art publishing house with dedicated bookstore: the Casa Cavia in Buenos Aires is all this at the same time. Located in upscale Palermo Chico, a very exclusive residential area, Casa Cavia occupies a white mansion in eclectic style built in 1927. The building has undergone a complete restoration project by the studio Kallos Tourin Architect, also responsible for the interior design. The spaces have been retained as much as possible as they were originally, and most of the interior decoration – its plaster mouldings and the banister of the main staircase, by way of examples – have been returned to their original splendour. In what were once the private rooms of a house, today refined shops follow one another without interruption. The interesting interdisciplinary concept of Casa Cavia was designed by Guadalupe Garcia Mosqueda, founder and creative director. Under her guidance, chefs, bartenders and master perfumers work to offer only the best.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
