Located in the former US consulate in Istanbul, the Konsolos restaurant combines the sophistication of a French bistro menu with the taste of the past typical of some British restaurants. Opulent, rich, sumptuous and unabashedly full of detail, the Konsolos exaggerates everything. Inside no space has been left empty and the materials chosen – dark marble, wood and fabric gobelin type with a deliberately dated effect – only increase the feeling of “fullness”.
Its strength, however, is certainly in the paintings, along with glossy wainscoting, which fill every space on the walls. Noble hounds, distinguished ducks and aristocratic birds look down from on high on the clients seated in the dining room, just as canvas portraits of family forefathers would do.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
