Paola Navone’s installation, Colors, occupied Superstudio Più, on Via Tortona. It was created for Barovier&Toso with the idea of narrating the DNA of the Venetian glassmaker. Environments focusing on single colours including blue, red, yellow and green, were created inside of traditional yurts, placing a strong focus on the superb quality of the company’s Venetian glass production. Paola Navone, with her incomparable and unique approach, calibrated the dramatic effect of large lamps, giving them a domestic, lived-in feel. She staged monochrome, dreamlike spaces, inhabited by glass wonders, and in parallel, presented the magic of everyday atmospheres. The collection of Venetian pieces suggests an exotic journey, as if they were from somewhere else due to their placement in the ethnic yurts, giving these glass treasures an unexpected sense of wonder.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
