An exclusive collection of brocade shoes and boots has come out of a collaboration between two exceptional examples of Made In Italy: Rubelli, the historical Venetian textile manufacturer, and Santoni, the artisan brand of high-quality accessories from the Marche region. Rubelli has covered modern moccasins, boots, sandals and pumps have been covered in Rubelli’s golden, arabesque fabric, giving them an 18th century air. Originating from the desire to expand the use of furniture textiles in fashion, the experiment demonstrates how at times, improbable combinations can produce refined, elegant results. A regal sense lingers around the collection, perfect for enhancing the serious pieces. The historical textile tradition marries perfectly to high-quality handmade foot ware to produce original variations of Made in Italy.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
