Lanzavecchia+Wai, a designer duo, consisting of Francesca Lanzavecchia, a degree in product design at the Milan Polytechnic, and Hunn Wai, a student in industrial design at the University of Singapore, began their collaboration in Eindhoven, in the Netherlands, where they both graduated from the local Design Academy under the direction of Gijs Bakker, co-founder of Droog Design. After a debut of an artistic nature, in 2010 at the Fuori Salone of Ventura Lambrate, with the collection of furniture in elastic lycra ‘Spatial Series’ and collaborations with galleries, such as the Roman Secondome, for which in 2013 they created a two-seater rocking chair, now their commitment is taking a decidedly more industrial direction with an interior design project the Stream-AW169 VIP helicopter presented at Airshow China in November 2014, which, since 1996, every even year takes place successfully in the city of Zhuhai.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
