The “Infinite Palace” by Amo for Prada 2015
30 January 2015
15 October 2015
The fashion show for spring/summer 2016 by Antonio Marras (Milan 26th September 2015), was dedicated to Serjei Josifovic Paradzanov, romantic Rumanian film director, lover of traditional folk tales and legends, as well as a collector of objects from every era and culture.
The setting for the fashion show created by Antonio Marras had as a background a series of carpets by the young Iranian artist Mahmoud Saleh Mohammadi, that serve as the ideal reference for sumptuous outfits in oxidized metallic colours such as bronze, lead and gold, interspersed with explosions of white, turquoise, purple and bright jade, played out in various fabric combinations, from metallic taffeta to washed linen, to iridescent organza, to damasks and brocades, decorated in a kaleidoscope of the most varied fantasies. The extended and fluid lines contrast with adjusted sartorial constructions. Drapes, jabots, flounces and layers of gauze create a pronounced romantic atmosphere. The final exit in white was a true work of art: light and dancing dresses as if of girl brides, in cloth of various weights, adorned with embroidery and flimsy ruches.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
