animali_galleggianti_VanessaMitrani_nolimit

French designer Vanessa Mitrani, specializing in glass and ceramics, with workshops in Pantin, began to be known by the public for her series of glass aquariums, the classic round bowl, in various sizes, where silver ceramic fish were floating. Blue fish, such as sardines and mackerel, solitary or in packs, navigate in the aquariums, creating a series of variations on the theme, sometimes enriched by the presence of plants. These aquariums with fish, proposed in various editions of Maison & Objet, the Paris fair dedicated to the decorative arts, have become her trademark. She has recently diversified her production, revealing her usual irreverent approach, and in her decorative vases appear branches of flowers, birds, polar bears, orang-utans, but also anatomical elements, such as the heart and aorta vein in white kaolin.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
