La Fondazione Prada opening ceremony in Largo Isarco, Milan, on 2nd May 2015, with the exhibition “Serial Classic” curated by Salvatore Settis, invites you to rethink, in line with Settis’ statement, “I see classical art as a political art for the city and for the citizens, not unique then, but serial, consisting of multiples.” The Settis’ enlightened introduction at the inaugural exhibition of the Foundation, artfully decorated by OMA, teaches us to consider copies complementary to the originals, ushering in a new perspective on classic art. This concept was reiterated by Miuccia Prada who considers the exhibit “Serial Classic “a gesture of political nature.
Since the exhibits make you think, this one, introducing the classic inside the impassable fence of contemporary art, calls you to deal in an unprecedented manner with creativity.
Thanks to the Fondazione Prada, an architecturally and artistically unrivalled complex, Milan has a better reason to be visited than Expo.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
