A garden in the heart of the city; a secret oasis that smacks of authenticity. Väkst restaurant, in Copenhagen, is where any meal feels like al fresco dining. Both levels, the ground floor and basement, are filled with potted plants, aromatic herbs, climbing vines and strings of light bulbs that evoke a countryside feel. At the heart of the space is a minimalist greenhouse, built of recycled wood and glass. The interior was decorated in collaboration with Genbyg, who chose mostly recycled materials for the space, making each piece unique, unrepeatable, with its own story to tell.

The shelves are made of mahagony recovered from the Lyngby stadium after its restoration in 2013. Väkst offers Nordic dishes, mostly based around local vegetables and herbs. Carnivores are not left out, of course, and will find squid, veal and a very particular filet from Grambogaard.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
