Home Cafe is an oasis of greenery and clean air in the chaos and pollution of Beijing. The restaurant, designed to be not only a place for a snack but also place to recharge through 360 degrees, was designed by the international and cross-cultural team, Penda. The interiors, modular and easily reconfigurable, are equipped with a structure made with reclaimed metal bars painted black. The structure houses shelves, table tops and many containers planted up with aromatic, climbing and decorative plants in order to create a contemporary indoor garden.
The plants, supported by a system of filters, contribute to ensuring that within Home Cafe one breathes fresh air. The unusual structure can be dismantled and reassembled in a short time, but its most interesting feature is that of being constantly in progress: thanks to the continued growth of the plants, the structure will always be increasingly covered by leafy branches and the interior will never be the same from one day to the next.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
