Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba has said this, and adds, “I never give up irony; irony is a serious matter. If a good idea is even fun, I cannot resist to realize it”. He graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti, and after, began to work as a scenographer and create artistic works on the side. His playful approach drives him to reinterpret daily objects in an original way. His creativity conquered Seletti, for whom he has designed various works that walk the line between invention and ready-made, but never abandon the playful and ironic. His artistic studies nurtured his innate aesthetic sense, which brings natural elegance to even his most playful pieces. He loves to tell stories with his work, which is always dosed with a good amount of irony, subverting the use of common objects. A hammer has become a coat hanger, silhouettes of houses on stilts become a series of storage spaces, and a bundle tied with string transforms into an ottoman.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
