The Pliage Longchamp handbag, created in 1993, one of the industry’s most successful stories, with as many as 30 million units sold worldwide, is celebrating its thirtieth anniversary by renewing colours and decorations. The famous folding bag, copious when open, but folding to only a little larger than a wallet, is changing its look. Abandoned is the traditional sobriety of classic colours, wearing instead intense pastel colours, daring pink and acid green and boasts polychrome decorations, abstract and figurative, signed by well-known artists. Just like a blank sheet of white paper, it offers itself up to the creative whim of illustrators, painters, graphic artists and designers to build a colourful collection, without renouncing its functional vocation. And the game of transformation becomes even more imaginative.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
