Dark jewels

The elegant press officer Bona Bonarelli, from Florence, debuted her fashion creations during Milan’s Super fashion fair, part of Pitti Immagine, this past September. She has a passion for Tunisia after having spent numerous summers there, which resulted in a an elegant mix of western and north African influences for her collection of streamlined linen and shiny silk caftans and pajamas. The pieces come in solid colours or fish patterns, and Alessandro Gaggio provided almost barbaric artisan gold jewelry to complete the looks. Aldo Fallai photographed native Tunisian Kenza Fourati (daughter of the famous producer Dora, and resident of New York) in Hammamet; her intense look only further accentuates the almost Berber-esque feel and impeccable Western manufacturing.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
