José Levy is an eclectic designer, capable of ranging from design to fashion, from accessories to interior design. Winner in 2013 of the Parisian Chamber of Commerce award for a new concept of pharmacy, “Ma Pharmacie”, that already stands out with its shop sign, creator of the surrealistic biscuit statues for the Manufacture de Sèvres, he has recently dealt with a diverse collection of stationery, table and home accessories, including shopping trolleys, clothing and underwear for men, women and children, distributed by the Monoprix department stores. The underlying theme of such variety is a multi-coloured printing of exploding fireworks on a black background. The launch was celebrated on 12th November, 2014 at the Palais de Tokyo with a party full of a thousand lights, and doused with champagne. The collection, displayed in a special pop-up store, was sold out. From December it enhances the Christmas spirit in all Monoprix stores, at well affordable prices.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
