The exhibition “Landmark” by Studio Job in Miami at the Carpenters Workshop Gallery is an installation of monumental sculptures, created between 2009 and 2014. The works are interpretations of iconic buildings, such as the Big Ben Aftermath of London, the cathedral of Chartres in France, a desk clock enclosed in a treasure chest that opens like an altarpiece, then the Eiffel Tower lamp, which tilts slightly to become a table lamp.
The extraordinary journey through the masterpieces of architecture comes to its climax in India ending with a representation of the Taj Mahal, the famous mausoleum of white marble, bronze and reproduced inverted to become an elegant coffee table. Renaissance in its aura, perfection of proportions, ideal students of Benvenuto Cellini for the realism by chisels, Studio Job, again, surprises us with a perfect blend of lively imagination and virtuosity.
Where: Carpenters Workshop Gallery, 3 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4HE, United Kingdom

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
