London-based fashion brand Museum of Friendship, founded by Chinese women’s wear designer Momo Wang in 2014, has unveiled its 16SS collection recently at Shanghai Fashion Week. Momo was inspired by her trip to Tokyo, and by the look of the students who go back home after school, and thus comes the name of the collection ‘After School’. She tries to rebuild the scenes of the 90s based on her girlhood memory and understanding of the youth culture. A Central Saint Martins graduate, Momo Wang is a recipient of second runner-up at the L’Oréal Professional Talent Awards 2011. She also won the Textprint Award in the same year. Prior to launching MOF, Momo presented various craft collections, and all were well received.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
