In the historic Palazzo Bocconi on Corso Venezia, between mirrors and gilding, LVMH has masterfully staged the new edition of its Objets Nomades. True to its specialization on the travel inspired objects, the French multinational luxury goods company called together a select group of international designers to create new pieces for its historic collection of travel inspired furnishings; the company at the beginning of the brand debuted with trunk-desks, the hat-showers… Among the projects, all made of leather, the folding stool by Patricia Urquiola, the folding chair by Maarten Baas, the hammock of woven leather and folder-shaped stool by Atelier Oi, the corolla-shaped armchair by Raw Edges that opens like a bud and the accordion-shaped portable lamp by Gwenael Nicolas.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
