Oscar and his partner Claudia live in the country, in the Pesaro province. They are ever ready to creatively respond to international stimuli; Claudia began her professional journey when she founded Oscar Maschera in 2005 with her partner. She oversees the business aspects of the company, which exports expertly-made pieces from the Marche region. Oscar is an artisan specializing in the use of leather, a material that is ever-refining, natural and ancient. His functional creations use innovative shapes for common, everyday objects. Oscar exclusively uses Italian leather, treated with natural extracts and dyed in aniline barrels. He began his craft by designing the objects, learning by working, dying and sewing the leather. Today he collaborates with designers Nestor Perkal and Claude Bouchard. The first takes inspiration from his homeland, Argentina. The second, a noteworthy interior designer and architect celebrated for his collaborations with French luxury brnds Hermès, Bernardaud and Puiforcart, expands the formal repertoire with inventive profiles.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
