Fendi has recently reopened the Palazzo Fendi in Rome, inaugurating the new boutique and the Fendi Private Suites (we wrote about these luxurious suites in a previous number) on Via del Corso. The great undertaking has also produced the Palazzo Privé Apartment, a space reserved for VIP customers and guests passing through the Italian capital. Iconic furnishings, including Gio Ponti’s daybed and Zanuso’s armchairs, are side by side with Salci and Moran’s original pieces designed for Fendi’s Roman Lounge and Design Miami 2014. The Galleria Mazzoleni provided the artwork, painted by Lucio Fontana, Josef Albers and Agostino Bonalumi, to name a few. The pieces make the space even more exquisite for the fortunate few who will pass through the doors of Fendi’s Palazzo Privé.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
