The Japanese designer Issey Miyake, who we can call an artist because of his wonderful textiles, is known worldwide for his collection Pleat Please, outfits in pleated synthetic fabric, crease-resistant and unshrinkable, thanks to a special polyester fibre, whose pleating is resistant up to a temperature of 200°. Suited for any occasion of the day, they fold like a handkerchief and fit all sizes, elegantly supporting body shapes. On the occasion of the brand’s 20th anniversary, to highlight the great potential of this special polyester the series called Flowers was created, which subsequently won the 92nd New York Art Directors Club Award in the design category. This year it was up to the animals, equally effective.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
