The glass collection “Poets”, proposed during Maison&Objet in Paris (September 2014), both at the trade show and at the showroom Boffi Bains Paris, was born by a collaboration between Massimo Lunardon, an artist and glass artisan who can blow and form the most unlikely shapes, and a handful of international designers. Andrea Anastasio, Italian but Indian by adoption; Sam Baron, French, stationed in Veneto as design director at Fabrica, accustomed to working with Massimo at the furnace; Studio Formafantasma, the Italian duo residing in Eindhoven; Martino Gamper, a South Tyrolean relocated to London; Martí Guixé, commuting between Barcelona and Berlin. As in the verses of a poem, the transparent works twirl, lightly tinted with coloured profiles, sharp notches, inserts of precious silks and fine grooves. The originality of the collection lies not so much in the forms that have the taste of tradition, as in the gestures, almost irreverent, planned by the designers for violating the perfection to which Massimo Lunardon is accustomed.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
