The Dominique Kieffer by Rubelli collection bears the mark of Paola Navone, who was given the the responsibility of caring for the Venetian brand in its every detail, including its textile offerings and catalogue. Navone celebrated the intentional imperfections that accompany the artisan process of hand-dying and hand-weaving for the 2016/2017 collection. She was inspired by manual processes used in ceramics, embroidery, and illustrations.
The colour spectrum spanned intense jewel tones like turquoise, sea-green, and Venetian pink, combined with a vast palette of neutrals. The catalogue was photographed in the workrooms, amongst the glass fragments, and in the streets of Venice, giving a sense of everyday life, spent in an array of dense colour, giving a taste of a hand painted landscape.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
