The historical Tuscan weavers, Faliero Sarti, specializes in high fashion fabrics and quality prèt à porter fibers. When the young Monica Sarti began in the company, she introduced the idea of the scarf as a fashion accessory. Thanks to this idea and Monica’s imagination, the company stands out for its seasonal collections of scarves, featuring new and unusual themes. The brand, “L’Accessorio di Faliero Sarti,” earned 27 million euros in 2013, and was distributed in 1.800 stores throughout the world, including 300 in Italy. Based on the family archive, Monica has created one of the most varied repertoires of scarves, many of which have inspired others.
Even though copied, Monica does not relent in creating a new story for every season’s scarf, used as if they were drawing paper. For 2016, she used travel as the theme, with city maps, flags, passports, geographic cutouts, all perfect for traveling the world.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
