Andrea Corsi has learned to manipulate resins, exploiting their flexibility and imperfections to produce pieces by Gaetano Pesce. He then lent his expertise, gained alongside the theorist of imperfect forms, to other creative designers, including Alessandro Mendini, for whom he has produced shiny polychrome vases. At the beginning of 2015, Andrea with its Corsi Design made its debut in Paris at Maison & Objet and at Bijorhca with his own collection of bracelets. The inspiration is definitely deco, but there’s a twist that makes them unusual and contemporary: the softness. The retro feel is attenuated by the unexpected use of the resin that lends both a contemporary and everyday character to his showy bracelets.
WHERE:
CORSI DESIGN FACTORY, Via Rossi 43 Int.6 – 21020 Barasso (VA)
SHOWROOM, Fabbrica del Vapore – c/o Polifermo, Via Procaccini 4 – 20154 Milano

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
