Rossana Orlandi’s space on Via Matteo Bandello has been proclaimed a melting pot of contemporary creativity, filling every angle, including the courtyard, with artisan products from all around the world. All them exist in perfect harmony…new companies like Ghidini 1961, a home collection in brass orchestrated by Stefano Giovannoni’s expert art direction, the dramatic installations of Mortiz Waldemeyer for Panerai; Matteo Cibic’s home collection, Scarlet Splendor; the new Italian talents, including Francesco Meda’s Split table; the coloured clay chairs by Maarten Baas; Crema’s Emanuela Crotti’s memory furnishings, “tableaux vivants” that insert daily memories between resin layers; Piet Hein Eek’s recycled wood pieces; Cinematic windows by Anotherview, that transform one’s home into a nomadic space, offering fragments of cityscapes from around the world. There are many more, offering a surprise each time, solidifying that international creativity is in constant evolution, while remaining ever exciting.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
