By partnering with Toilet Paper, the irreverent magazine curated by Maurizio Cattelan and photographer Pier Paolo Ferrari, and Seletti, the well-known brand of objects for the table and the home, the image of the set table has taken an irreverent road. Plates, mugs and trays in both porcelain and metal, similar in shape and size to those made in enamelled metal for peasants and workers when there was still no plastic, are illustrated with lively and colourful photographs of subjects that are quite out of the ordinary.
No more flowers or butterflies, but photographic images of toads, roses with blue eyes, tubes of lipstick, thimbled fingers typing on an old typewriter, fried eggs and sliced bread on a chequered background, a pony with a saddle made of coloured roses etc … A breath of provocative surrealism to revolutionize the etiquette of traditional equipment, both classic and design.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
