G-Rough: the luxury of living in Rome for a few days

Brothers Michael and Christian Sieger are not only players in the fashion, industrial and decorative design fields. One of their creative goals is to make everyday life richer with aesthetically pleasing common objects. They have created a line of tabletop accessories for the German porcelain company, Fürstenberg, that changes annually. They have added anti-conventional human and animal forms in gilded porcelain to the collection. Their decorative themes span from floral to geometric, in daring sizes that play with a contrast of black and white. Gold plays a large role in covering vases and anthromorphic champagne stands, the inside of cups and glasses, and on the borders of plates. The collection reveals a personal and contemporary approach to decoration reaching far beyond traditional porcelain manufacturing.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
