Two centuries of Spanish rule in Sicily have inspired the latest collection of Dolce & Gabbana which, since 1985, enhance feminine sensuality with triumphs of colours, typical of the Italian island, infused with exotic references and sacred images. Sensual Matador and Torere seduce with embroidery, floral designs, flouncy skirts in flamenco style and opulent colours, in shades of red, black and white, illuminated by touches of gold. “Enough of this sophisticated hood etiquette besieging fashion; our catwalk wants women to take back their beauty and their freedom” declare Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, summarizing a dynamic collection in which broad scope is reserved for accessories: bags, hairpins (hair slides) and baroque-style jewellery and shoes with tabernacle heels in which is kept the Sacred Heart.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
