A tiny restaurant in Milan is quickly collecting crowds of clients and admirers. Trippa Milano Trattoria was recently opened by chef Diego Rossi and blogger Pietro Caroli, following the wave of popularity that 40’s and 50’s gastronomy, décor and ambiance have recently experienced. Both young and old are attracted to the decorative details and traditional dishes. The simple space has all the elements of a typical trattoria; wooden chairs, paper napkins, vintage ads hung on the walls, and Fap Ceramiche tiling on the floors.
Studio ZeroNoveLAB – Architettura e Design curated the interior design concept, choosing colours and details that make the restaurant informal yet welcoming. The menu changes daily, based on the availability of local and seasonal ingredients, but every dish is part of the traditional Italian repertoire. There are varying soups, risotto, and main dishes with meat and fish. Trippa (tripe) and vitello tonnato (braised veal with tuna bernaise) are always available! Traditional tastes unite in an “old-style” restaurant in Milan’s Porta Romana area.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
