The English company Grillstock combines, under its aegis, good music and succulent food. Grillstock organizes music festivals, events dedicated to the world of barbecue and owns several restaurants around the UK. Among the most interesting is Bath, an ancient spa town in Somerset, which, under a relaxed and calm mein, hides an alternative rock soul.
Grillstock Bath is located in an old disused railway tunnel, still covered with corrugated metal sheet. Informal and alternative, the space bears the signature of Simple Simon Design. It is not necessary (and is not in any way possible!) to book for lunch or dinner, just sit down and order, in the most friendly way you can imagine. You can taste dishes based on chicken, beef or pork, abundantly “washed down” with a wide selection of beers and ciders. The meat is cooked “low’n’slow”: each cut is smoked for over 18 hours with a selection of fragrant wood and seasoned with sauces which vary according to the season.

The Moodboarders is a glance into the design world, which, in all of its facets, captures the extraordinary even within the routine. It is a measure of the times. It is an antenna sensitive enough to pick-up on budding trends, emerging talents and neglected aesthetics. Instead of essays, we use brief tales to tune into the rhythm of our world. We travelled for a year without stopping, and seeing as the memory of this journey has not faded, we have chosen to edit a printed copy. We eliminated anything episodic, ephemeral or fading, maintaining a variety of articles that flow, without losing the element of surprise, the events caught taking place, and the creations having just bloomed.
